My raptor is cutting out, it will idle fine but when I give it the gas it cuts out. I thought that it was the parking brake, so I cut the wire leading in to it, I'm guessing I didn't need the wires, I twised them together and it really cut out so I cliped them clean. I rode it just a minute and that may have helped but it is now back fireing a bit. Could someone please help?

my 2001 did that to me too, pulled carb and cleaned it, my air box had about 1/4 inch of gas in the bottom and my filter was soaked. ran fine after i did that but i was having toruble in reverse too. my reverse rev limiter was buggered up and i grounded it out...can go real fast in reverse now ;-)

 

well the main jet comtrols the top end speed... so u might to lean and it is starving or too rich and there is too much JMO
