Default Raptor goes into hibernation.

Hey everyone, I love these forums and I love helping people out when I can. I am only 15 so remember that. Well the other day I was doing some experimenting with my arrestor and taking it out and seeing if it ran better and then modifying. Well when I took it out for a spin I had a wheelie going up a hill in 3rd gear. It went too far back and then I was on the weak grab bar and I tapped the brakes and it just skidded. I fell off and then it rolled over onto its left side and then bounced back up. I am all black and blue and cut up but I just ran and jumped back onto my quad I wanted to make sure it was ok before me. I got on and the handlebar was bent up a little on the left side and it took me a min to get it started. I rode it back to my house and put it in the garage to inspect. I noticed the left front tire was bent like this / inward. It wasn't the rim, it was the top A-arm. You guys said they were weak, you were right. I got it bent back with a hammer and 20 minutes but I put it back together and it still wasn't right. I took it off again and looked at the ball socket. My luck the bolt its bent pretty good. Like a 60 degree angle. Now I dont have any money and I wont for awhile because I dont have a job and its hard to get one when your 15. Everyone wants you to be at least 16 My dad dosn't want to pay for it ether so now I am pretty muched screwed. I dont think I will be riding for a couple months. I wish you guys good luck, dont kill yourself. Always wear a helmet, thank god I wear mine all the time.

If you have any subdivisions near you, mow lawns. My 15 year old makes over $100 most weeks and it's all tax free. $20 a lawn for less than 1/4 acre of grass and he sometimes does 2/day. He just bought himself a used CR125 with money he earned last summer cutting lawns. If you have access to ladders, you can wash siding, paint trim, clean rain gutters, etc. With a bucket and a sponge, you can go door to door asking folks if they want their cars washed. You can get that Raptor up and running again, just put your mind to it and be prepared to do odd jobs that aren't much fun.

Try contacting a nursery. A lot of the plants are often planted on site and it is a good job for underage kids. If you try hard enough you can probably figure something out.

I can't blame your dad.....if he fixes it instantly, you will only destroy it or hurt yourself. It's job time (the J word).

If its just the a-arm, and its not bent that bad, ride it. I rode on my banshee for months with the wheel tilted in. Seriously, you made it home with it bent. Put it back on and RIDE. Forget the JOB!

Yup, I agree its about summer time it should be realitively easy to find a job to make a couple bucks. You can probably find a used upper a-arm from somebody who went with aftermarket stuff for almost nothing.
