Just wondering how the people with them like them and how hard they are to install and setup. I just ordered one and can't wait till it gets here. Any tips on installation !

Which method did you use for determining your wheel size? Have you tested accuracy yet? I wonder how close you can actually get them? Got mine yesterday, going to try to get it on before our Poker Run Sunday.

Seems to me a basic GPS would be a lot better way to go. The trail tech looks cool and all but a $100 GPS will do a lot more than an $80 Trailtech. The GPS will plot where you went, max speed, trip time, ETA to a point, average speed, distance, altitude, etc, etc... Plus it will help to keep you from getting lost.

I agree on the GPS. The tire diameter swells a lot at about 90MPH....so the trail tech is inaccurate anyway.

GPS = Global Positioning System

You can get them at most electronic stores. I picked my eTrex at Target. It's the Venture model (a clear green case).

One thing though...get LOTS of batteries. This thing chews batteries like nothing I know. I use NiMH rechargables and it will eat a pair a day.

I think it was around $120 or so on sale (Black Friday sale [after Thanksgiving]). And there was one model lower.

Most of them can interface with computers so you could for example map out your favorite places and then download them to your computer. Each time you go to a different place, you just upload that areas corrodinates.

This would help at Dunes trying to find particular spots. Last time at Pismo we spent a couple hours searching for this hill...we found it after searching...on the other side of a fence.
