Default Big Gun quiet series any improvement?

I put on the Big Gun Q.S., jetted it and K&N filter, modified lid on it but didn't notice much difference at all other than being louder than the stock pipe. Is that typical for the Quiet Series and will I get a big difference putting in the racing core? Or........get a different pipe.

When I bought my Big Gun, i bought it with a race core and there was a huge improvement. I bought the quiet core and It actually felt slower than stock. Then the friggin thing rusted on me and Big Gun would not make it right. If you dont need the quiet core, you can cut the baffles out with a hacksaw and save yourself $40. Its about 4-6 dbs louder with the race core, i tested it.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping someone would say the race core would be a big improvement. Anyone else??

I did order one today..$16.00, It's cheaper than buying a quiet core to go into a racing cored pipe.

The quiet core is a sick joke, less power than stock with more noise. The race core is a little better than stock, louder than an F15 on full afterburner!
