I don't think Yamaha has the nads to put out a 500. I'll beleive it when I see it.

I had a kawasaki 500 before and those 500's rock.

Yamaha will do it better second time around.

Okay, some wishful logic here........say they could produce and sell this 500 Banshee 2 stroke for four more years before a supposed 2 stroke ban. Without a huge investment in R&D, they could take a basic Raptor chassis and put this thing together. The assembly line would be lit up 24 hours a day, selling every one they could produce. Look at the investment in 600 sport bike technology, tenfold the research done on ATV's. The Banshee would actually make good financial sense. I still don't believe it, but I'm trying to........ The only thing that makes sense is a "in-house" 450 detuned for quad service. It's not gonna be faster in stock form than the Raptor either......that would be ignorant marketing strategy.

 

For those of you that didn't get it - I was joking about the deposit.

Still, I would buy one. Heck, just the same old Banshee frame and but some 500cc jugs on the Banshee engine and bing-bam-boom you're done.

 

Why don't you just go up to an 800cc kit YEAH I said 800CCs!!!

 

If someone gives me a $500 deposit I will keep my eyes out for one.

They could make a 500 so easy, they already made a 500 version of the banshee engine for street bikes. But they wont do it. That engine made 90hp in stock form.
