Default FMF Q series?

I am thinking about getting the fmf q series with the power bomb header and I would like to know what the jetting specs would be with this exhaust.I also have a K&n air filter.

good question.... that's the pipe I would get if I bought a Raptor...... I was wondering about the jetting myself... but it seems no-one uses "quiet" pipes on their Raptors... so good luck

I'm thinking the quiet series pipes may not have that much bang for the buck... so I'd probably just remove the spark-arrestor and quiet-core insert from the stock silencer and ride on for free instead of payin $400+ for the set-up you're talking about

then again... if it does indeed have more power and is quieter than modifying the stock exhaust, then I might consider it....

I'd really like to hear from someone who has tried both (stock exhaust modification, and the full FMFQ system)

i have the full fmf titanium system w/powerbomb header,i had to rejet to 155l and 160r,five one inch holes in aibox lid , cut flaps from snorkle. of course a k&n filter.i just bought my jets from the dealer instead of buying the whole powerkit.i used mikuni jets and stock needles. now it goes like a fart through a wistle.

yeah, but your FMF system is not the "Q" series exhaust.... that is what we are wondering about

as we all know, you lose a lot of power whenever you try to quiet an exhaust system

just my advise, look into a different system besides fmf, I've owned two of their systems and was not that impressed by either, the power bomb pipe discolors real bad and they don't seem to make the power that other systems do, just my .02

I agree with this too. I wish I had something else. PCIV leaks from every connection/rivet on the pipe.
But like Duneittilludie said There are not many options out there for a quiet pipe.

the power bomb header is stainless steel and when it gets hot it turns color that is not a flaw in the system that is just what happens to stainless steel when it gets hot.i have had no problems with mine and like i said the performance is very good but believe what you will.

yes you will probably have to cut away at the air box lid to get the best performance but i would start with a small portion of the air box lid cut away and keep hacking away until you run good at every rpm level.i dont remember if i mentioned it earlier but i removed the snorkle also.i have actually jetted quite a few four strokes in the past and i have never come across one as tempermental as the raptor but once you get it right it will be worth the effort.
