warrior carb problems? or timing?
Both are on the left clutch lever asm. if they have not been removed. The clutch/brake switch does not let you rev the engine up with the parking brake on. There is also a rev limmiting switch on the foward/revers lever. If it is still there, it also does not let you reve the motor up much in revers.

thanks...i will give it a try if i can get it to start. do you have anything on my idle problem. it only runs with the choke out. when i push it in, it spits and stalls. sometimes, it will back fire. anyone know what a rebuild on the motor would cost? thanks Mars

Don't think it is the motor! (does it smoke at all.. Blue smoke not good... Black smoke carb issues)
It sounds like you are having major carb issues... I would clean the carbs before I done anything else!
Thats not as bad as it sounds... just take your time clean everying and put it back the way you took it apart! If it was me that is where I would start!

I just went through this on my Wolverine.
Almost for sure, fuel sat in the float bowl for an extended period, and now your pilot jet is gummed up. The orifice is extremely small - the carb needs to be removed, the float bowl removed and the pilot jet cleaned out. This explains why it doesn't idle, but will run with throtle. If you have more questions, PC me.
