I came up with a cheap and easy solution - I drilled two holes (that align with the 10mm bolts holding the clutch pack on) in a spanner wrench and then bolt the wrench to the basket. The bow in the spanner wrench allows clearence to get a socket on the center nut. You could likely fab something up with a piece of metal and notche the center accordingly. A big spanner (used for the nuts on the rear shock) was a natural. The key is being able to use the existing bolts for leverage. Snoop around your shop for something that could be made to fit.

Well then I will use an my Impact to tighten it. I was just worried about getting the right torque.
Ward that is how I broke it. The first time I did this it worked. Second time not so good.

Make DARN sure that you don't tighten it too tight. I was having trouble holding the inner hub and just impacted the snot out of it. When I tried to turn the basket or inner hub, it was obvious that it was way too tight. It was very hard to turn.

What I finally did was I got it as close as I could with the screwdriver in the teeth method and then hit it one short time with the impact to snug her up. Worked great.

By the way, all the dealers I called in the DFW area about torquing it down for me said "we don't have that tool. We just use an impact."

Something to think about. That sort of scared me and I figured that if they were just going to impact it on there, I was sure I'd be much more careful since it was my own bike.

I just used an impact, didn't bother trying to hold the basket...
