Default Picture of carnage
Look in my picture page thingy for a nice picture of what I found when I pulled the oil pump. The picture dosent quite do it justice. You cant see all the deep grooves and nicks.

don't those things have pick-up screens? You can see where the foreign material tried to go through it! Did you find where the metal came from?

I just checked for ya', it's in the drain plug, "strainer" parts book calls it. Yours looks like it's missing or damaged.


strainer is #9

yup, i have no strainer. lucky me huh? previous owner threw it away during oil change.
