Go with the Grizzly. I have a 2000 and my uncle has a 2000 Kodiak. A drag is no contest with the griz smoking it. But the pulling power is very very big. the kodiak is smaller therefore easier to handle, but i just like to run over the stuff.

Top speed of the Kodiak is 55mph.

I'd say by far the Kodiak is more fun to drive and I really don't see any advantages that the Grizz has over the Kodiak. Sure, it has 200 more cc. But what does that really mean? How much more horse power does that equate to? By having more cc, what does that mean the Grizz can do over the Kodiak.....pull a larger trailer?

Riding the Grizz is like riding a Jeep with handlebars. The only place a Grizz shines over the Kodiak is in the power and speed catagory. It falls way behind in all other aspects.

Don't even bother with the Grizzly. It will be replaced soon, and is falling way behind in the 500-600 class. Go for the Kodiak. Pound for pound, it's ten times the machine the Grizzly ever was or ever will be...

Hey,
The 600 GRIZZ is by far the best if you want a atv that will perform like a workhorse. No questions asked.

Who wants a work horse? Give me a horse that I can ride and have fun on.

rumors are there is a Grizz major update coming soon, maybe the 660 raptor motor in it, but for right now the Kodiak is by far better.

The griz is bigger framed and more comfortable than the smaller Kod. I like both but, it would depend on what kind of riding you do. if you zip around the woods on tight fast trails then the kod is the one if you play in the mud and want big tires then the griz is for me. I also do a lot of tree pushing around here and the griz is definately better at making trails through the woods than almost anytghing i've seen so far. I always wind up in the front on new trails pushing the trees over for others because of the weight of the griz. Just my $.02
