Thanks for the info on the hours that makes me feel alot better...........I believe that even if I had to rebuild my shee every 20 hours it would be my number 1 choice!

Hotrod, thats not a bad price, I paid $5000 for my 2002 left over a few months back.

You might be able to get them down a little more, doesnt hurt to try.

I pretty much agree with everything that has been said, I have two banshees and they are great. I love them. I think they are on par in most every category with the newer quads, but I ride mostly sand, so I cant comment on mx or stuff like that.

The real kick is the engine, in stock form it is mild, but with a few mods it really comes alive. I have a lot of fun with the banshees.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Do you hear all the owners say how much they love their Banshees! I love mine too. It is such a unique quad, there will never be another like it! You can take a Banshee and turn it into whatever type of machine you want (drag racer, hill climber, woods, etc). I've set mine up for woods riding and it's awesome at that. You just have to know what you want the machine to do and what mods that will work for your type of riding. About relaibility, Mine is a 2000 model and still is on the original top end with 135lbs of compression per cyl. If you get a banshee, go to an auto parts store and get a compression tester. If you get a difference of 10% between each cylinder or either cylinder get's below 100lbs it's time to start thinking about a top end rebuild, which is an easy anyway. I think everyone that rides quads should at some point get to try a Banshee.

Bruce I could not agree more everyone should try a shee.....As for the 5grand for a left over 01 shee not sure about that...There is no way I would pay that when you can get a brand new one for 5400...Just my opinion

My Banshee and I have a love hate relationship... I love it, but damn sometimes I sure do hate it! It's something I can't really explain. I'm sure other Banshee riders know what i'm talking about. Like when your buddy leads you into a tight trail and rund into a dead end and he "K" turns around while you have to turn... get off pull your quad around, hope it doesn't stall, and jump back on it to catch up to him....

Who needs stupid reverse anyway!

That does not sound like a good buddie.

Get a Z400 and you can backup too.
Anything else you don't like about the Banshee besides a little reverse thing?
