carb questions on raptors

Default carb questions on raptors

I have a friend who rides a honda 400ex he also tunes bikes for the locals here in Mo. I asked him what I could do the help my raptor he said that the first thing he would do is remove the chokes out of the carbs thats what he does first. but i was wondering how and what that would actually do the my bike, i have no clue about this so any impute at all would be helpfull thanks

the raptor has more of a fuel enrichment than a choke (butterfly valve in carb),
