Description:
Me:42 Years old, married with one married daughter and one 17 year old daughter still at home. Balding, a little fat (But no couch potato) and like to enjoy the outdoors. I also consider myself to be mechanically inclined and do all my own bike work.Live in Clinton, UtahWork at Ikon Office Solutions in SLC as the operations manager for the toner cartridge division (Manage both SLC and ATL Ga. locations)Motorycycle / ATV experience: I began riding motorcycles in 1972. Have owned many types of dirt / street motorcycles as well as ATV's. I raced a 1986 KDX-200 (Desert Racing) competetively in the mid 80's. During the past 10 years most of my riding has been play / exploring / camping with family etc. Since my children have gotten older they did not want to go out very much and my job has limited my time available to ride. Ususally when I ride, I go solo by myself or have one or two other friends who sometimes go with me. My current ridinging is usally day rides exploring trails etc. About two or three times a year, we (Family) still take the motorhome out with a couple of bikes also. I enjoy technical trails that are somewhat difficult, but also enjoy just about any kind of riding. I am not an extrememly fast rider, but do not poke along either and consider myself to be a fairly good rider. Some people say I am crazy to ride some of the places that I do, but I would not agree. I like to go out and ride most of the day and cover some ground instead of riding 15 minutes and stopping etc. I also like to keep my equipment in great mechanical and appearance shape.I purchased a used 1982 Goldwing in the spring of 2002 and have been riding it to work most days in temps of 30 degrees and above. I purchased two 1978 Honda CB400 hawks in the summer of 2001 and got them both running and looking great. We take them camping with us when we are out in the motorhome and want some transportation. In 2000 I bought my first 4X4 ATV (Yamaha Kodiak 400) and have loved it ever since. In January of 2003, I decided I deserved more power and purchased my newest baby my Prairie 650 Camo. I have added the front and rear rack extension rails and a couple of soft bags for now. My Yamaha Kodiak has a Warn 2000 winch and a soft bag.Where I ride:I like to ride anywhere but usually If I'm with family I ride at Knolls Utah. If by myself for day rides I go to Mantua basin, Jacob city (South of Toole) Cedar mountains (West of SLC) or Skull valley (West of SLC). I have been down to the Piute trail twice and also riding at Jericho Sand Dunes (Little Sahara) too many times to count. Basically I like to ride anywhere on anything as long as I can get out of the house and do something. Sundays are my best days because I am a religous heathen and my Wife and Daughter are in church which makes me feel less guilty leaving them to go riding. My wife will tolerate riding sometimes, but I don't think she really enjoys it. But.......she has not ridden my Prairie 650 yet either. Maybe someday....Hauling my stuff:I haul my bikes on a 10' X 6 1/2" trailer that has low rail fixed sides. This has worked great until I needed to haul two 4X4 atvs. Now I have to use my loading ramp and load from the side up and over the approx. 10" side rails. Going in is OK, but coming back out takes a little work. I plan to lower the rail on the curb side in half to help out the un-loading. I also have a small 7' X 4' trailer that I can put one motorcycle in or pull behind the ATV as a utility trailer. I pull the trailer with my Isuzu Trooper or the motorhome depending on the situation. My stuff:My current inventory of vehicles includes:2003 Kawasaki Prarie 650 Camo2000 Yamaha Kodiak1995 Kawasaki KDX-2001985 Suzuki LT-1851982 Honda Goldwing1978 Honda CB400 Hawk1978 Honda CB-400 Hawk Automatic1985 Itasca 31' Motorhome2000 Isuzu Trooper1998 Honda Civic
