Description:
Most guys I ride with these days say I am as old as the dirt! Well I am 57 and I have been riding bikes for 43 years the last 35 years in the dirt and 32 years of that on big bore 2 strokes. I love ridding the soft sand or climbing hills. I am not much into trail ridding, I just like breaking new ground and I like keeping it on the ground sliding around cactus and mesquite bushes and catching jack rabbits. I have owned a lot of 2 strokes, I started out on a Hodaka, 360Yam, 250 Montessa Cappra, YZ250 , 501 Maico, 2 SC 500 Yam's, Bultaco Alpina 250 & 360, Bultaco 250 Sherpa T, 85 YZ490, and 87 YZ490 which is now my project bike. My current toys are 2001 KX500, 87 YZ490, 2000 Montesa 315R Cota 250 trials bike, 2001 Kawi Lacota Sport 300 quad and a 2001Kawi Bayou 220 quad ( The boss) AKA My wife. My wife says ,"You can never have enough motorcycles" , God love that women! I guess I would like to ride some of the new 4 strokes, although I am sure I don't want to own one! After owning the KX500 and the YZ490 What's the point! "2 STROKES RULE!" I am still looking for the guy who stole my Bell Star with the knobby prints on it!
