Description:
I live in Hattiesburg, MS and an engineer with the Mississippi Department of Transportation. I'm single, too, which means I get to choose and eat all of the groceries. It also means I get to choose what is on TV and how late I get to stay up or sleep. However, it also means I have to do all of the cleaning, if any gets done. My hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping, playing softball, and of course, riding 4 wheelers. I ride a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 650 4x4 with 26" ITP 589's. I did a few mods, such as changing the intake snorkel and opening up the exhaust. I'm not sure if the snorkel could really be called a mod because all I did was remove the stock snorkel that was pinched down and replaced it with one that allowed the carb to suck in all the air that it was trying to get. Because of the increased air intake, I went up a size in jets and shimmed my needles to richen back to where it should be. The exhaust mod is a homemade job of cutting the end off of the muffler, drilling six 3/8" holes through the baffles and opening the end a little bit. I can't suck in more air without having more room for the exhaust to exit. Besides, it makes it sound a little bit better and a wee bit louder. I've added a pink primary spring and a black secondary spring. These are mainly to keep the belt tight and save on belt wear in addition to keeping the belt from slipping due to bigger tires. I've also added a Holeshot ICM Power Module. This is a little electronic device that fools the CDI into thinking I'm going faster than I really am and allowing the CDI to advance the timing to where it should be instead of keeping it retarded at take off. Below are some pictures of me playing around.
