2004 Arctic Cat 250 start help needed

Default 2004 Arctic Cat 250 start help needed

Hello i have a 204 arctic cat 250 quad 2x4 and it keep trying to start i replaced the spark plug and it started for a few sec. now i got another problem i keeps trying to start like the start button is stuck watch this video to see also im not pressing the start button its doing it by itself

Not too familiar with Arctic Cat(know the old ones had Suzuki engines I believe),but have had some Polaris models do this also.It can be the starter switch as you mentioned sticking or a solenoid itself shorting out. If you can take the switch apart,I'd check it out first.Contacts may be touching.Don't know if these have a starter relay also that can short out?

I bought a new solenoid so it might be the switch let me check

So i replaced the switch and still wont start it turns but doesnt start

Then I'd ground out the plug to engine and see if you lost spark. Best to have a manual on trouble shooting electrical problems rather than throw any more parts at it. Here's a link to a free pdf manual I believe works.Toward the bottom is the down load button.2004 arctic cat 250 300 400 500 atv repair manual.pdf

i have the manual.. it started then when i gas it some gas it shut off

Have you tried fresh gas?
