ATV Stuck in reverse gear
Hello! I have the exact same ATV as you! 2007 Kazuma Jaguar 500.
I have had similar issues with the gears locking up causing issues with changing gears. Normanlly I had it where it won't move from Low gear to high gear
But what I do when I have this issue I usally shut the engine off, and try to move it then. If that doesn't work, attempt to drive the machine in that condition, sometimes it'll shoot right into the right gear, sometimes it does nothing.
AS A LAST RESORT:
Try smacking the gear back into either the correct reverse gear or the netual gear with a hammer!! Don't smack it too hard because it can damage the handle or the gear teeth.
AND MAKE SURE THAT THE MACHINE IS SHUT OFF.
AND BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THAT WHEN THE MACHINE IS RUNNING, MAKE SURE THE CHOKE IS IN THE OFF POSITION. BECAUSE WHEN THE ENGINE IS IDLING IN A HIGH REV THE GEARS ARE SPINNING FASTER THAN WHEN THE CHOKE IS OFF AND WHEN ENGINE IS REVVING LOW. THIS CAN ALSO CHEW THE TEETH OFF YOUR GEARS AND IF A GEAR IS IN A STATE WHERE IT IS TOO DAMAGED TO SHIFT AND PROPERTY FUNCTION IN THAT GEAR IT WILL REQUIRE THE ENTIRE ENGINE TO BE PULLED FROM THE BIKE AND THE CASING OPENED UP AND THE GEAR REPLACED AND THEN IN SOME CASES A ENTIRE TRANSMISSION REBUILD OR EVEN AN ENTIRE ENGINE REBUILD OR REPLACEMENT REQUIRED.
