I need HELP with my fourtrax
I have a 1986 Honda 250 fourtrax quad. It sat in a barn for three years and was given to me. I have cleaned the carbuerator and purchased and installed the repair kit, i.e new jets. ect.. I had to patch the fuel tank because it was rusted out as well and had holes. After dumping some money in a new battery and some other parts i thought i was ready to go. However after working on it for hours today i tried to start it and it ran for about 20 seconds, after using some starting fluid. I am using a clear fuel line, and noticed that the fuel is not being sucked into the carb. What can be causing this? How do i fix it. I am really in over my head and could use any help!!!

Most Hondas have a fuel filter screen that you can get to by removing the petcock from the tank... Not sure about this model, though.
Other possibility is a chunk of rust or something clogged the float valve.
If the tank is rusted enough to leak, you might be needing a new gas tank to ensure the fuel stays clean.
