Default BF750 problem with moose module

I bought a used moose module for $50 to try out. I took off the dg5 I was using and plugged in the moose. Went for a test ride about 5 miles. I can't tell that it made any more power but it was more than stock. I'm going about 35mph and the engine shuts off cold. I have power to the speedo but the engine just cranks and cranks but don't start. I unplug the moose and it fires right up. I rode back to the house fine, put the moose back in and it started. I rode around the yard and in about 5 minutes its kaput again. Anybody have this happen or have any ideas what to look for?

Not that I have any answers for you but I think you have fallen into a mine is better than yours kind of thing. Any module you can buy is about the same it produces a certain amount of frequency to change the initial timing on your cdi. In other words your dg5 has the same affect as the Moose no diference. Other than that check the conections and use a volt meter to see if the wires are not broken.

Default BF750 problem with moose module

I think I found a bad connection in the moose harness that went to some kind of black box in the back. I going to try it again today.

I jumped the harness wire that was causing the problem. It went to a yellow and green wire I don't no what it does but it stopped me cold. Now I have a miss that comes and goes. I took the moose harness apart and it looks like the metal tabs are not crimped good. Has anyone else had these kind of problems? I think I just got hosed for $50!!! I like the plug and play idea but loosing one connection means trouble. I'm going over all of them and if it still screws up its good by moose and back to mr reliable dg5.
