No start with turn of the key, have to jump solenoid.

So here's how it works
Ignition switch (key) sends power to handlebar kill switch, then powers up starter button
but starter button will only run if all the defeats are plugged in
IE the foot/hand brake must be on if they have a brake switch on them (very likely)
Many kids quads also have a tether button on the back if that button is not depressed then it will not run (another starter defeat)
You can check the brake switch and tether, any other starter safety disable by unplugging them and jumping the two wires
You can make alot of progress here with a volt meter.
Basically check the signals at the starter relay
4 wires:
big red is usually direct to battery +
another big wire leaves goes straight to starter
a ground
the signal from start button to turn relay on
My guess is you will not have a signal from the start button
check brake switch and tether, does this quad have a remote control kill switch too?

With mine, the key is like a vehicle. You go all the way to the right to start then let go and it goes to the run position. There's power to the key as the gauges light up to let you know if your in neutral to start. The po said he went over all relays and what not but couldn't figure it out. Looking on the net for the starter relay, they call that piece what I call the solenoid, the two posted round thingy that people jump. So to start with, how to test that?
