Question ktm or canondale

Am I missing something?
I was looking through the ktm threads and see a lot of cannondales mentioned.
I am interested in some research on a ktm 450,
issues, likes and dislikes, what is one getting for the extra money
paid for a ktm compared to other brands?

KTM supplied Cannondale with motors.

The KTM is so much more because it comes with top notch tires/wheels, shocks, exhaust, intake... It is a race bike from the factory. All the stuff that people change on their quads, the KTM comes with it.

KTM did not supply cannondale with motors

It seems that ATVconnection just renamed the Cannondale forum to KTM.

No, KTM and cannondale did try the ATV way, but I don't remember if KTM is still in it. The Cannondale went out of business and the KTM has a small following. But we didn't want to lose the accumulated data on Cannibal cause some people still own them and we kept all their technical data searchable.

A company by the name of ATK bought Cannondale's quads and still sell them under the ATK name. The Official ATK Rider's Website

I'm not standing by my answer, just seemed logical. I have seen Cannindales with "powered by ktm" on them.

If they did, you should be able to find info on the web.

There are a few Cannondale hybrids running KTM LC4 engines out ther, perhaps that it what you saw.

Also, KTM has a pretty big following at any XC race track you go to the XC quads are TOP NOTCH

You are absolutely right, The particular one I was thinking of is in the 2008 Feb. issue of Quad Magazine. It is the first picture in the Weston Beach Race Article. The motor says LC4 right on the side.
