Default HID light kits

So I've started to do some research on installing a HID light kit on my AC 550.
So far on my list I have a OPT7 and a DDM Tuning kit. Both are relatively inexpensive at under $40 and from recent reviews, quite reliable.
Does anyone have a HID installed? and if so what kind and what are your thoughts?

I have HID on my 350 Grizzly they are awesome at night. Mine came with them on already when I bought it used. The are great videos on You tube to install them.

There brighter then my 500H.O and friends 500 Foreman with all 3 headlights one at once.

For $40, sounds like a good idea to me. If you ride a lot at night, it will make a huge difference. Having a broader view of what's in front of you is good. A lot of critters like to come out at night. Being able to spot them a little sooner could mean the difference between hitting them or not. The bigger ones like deer will really ruin your night.
