In a sealed plastic pouch located up from the battery, usually up under the rear fender area or zip tied to the frame. It resets itself under normal conditions, but if the terminals are corroded it can kick on and off or short out. Check that the red wire going in and out have 12 volts, plus you can slice open the pouch and check the terminals. Even though they're sealed moisture can destroy one. You can get one cheap at any auto supply.
