sooo...i bought the 97 scrambler 500 HO..have some questions
k the quad runs fine for a short ride then boggs down, i noticed 2 fuel filters and maybe a "kinda" kinked line(not sure if its a fuel or vacuum line yet, its the middle line in the pic if it loads) so im thinking replacing fuel lines ans put ONE fuel filter in...
second..the guy said the awd works but i put the rear in the air with only the front tires on the ground, hit the awd button and put it in gear, give it gas and the front shafts are spinning but the front wheels will not engage at any rpm, what could it be?
and last...what do i need to disconnect the overide for reverse and not disable the awd(i thought i read it messes with the awd when disconnecting the reverse overide on awd machines)

Just check that you have power to the gray wires at the awd connectors under the panel while in awd mode.If not could be the gear position switch at the shifter.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Just pull the black wire from the limiter module. Defeats the limiter to where you have full power in reverse,But you may still have to push the over ride for awd.Plus who knows what po did on the fuel lines. May need to install a carb kit. On something like this I'd start at the front and work all the way to the back. Plus do a full service on the machine. Don't trust what po may have said has been done.

ohhh yeah, another thing...my light cluster, the high beam indicator works but the neutral and reverse lights do not, and im worried the temp might not work if needed...is there a fuse or fuses on this machine i can check...i figured they should all work if the high beam works...or do u think it could be related to the gear position switch, maybe its bad or not connected? my first awd quad so please bare with me lol
