Don't even remember having to tear into the 4 stroke clutches, but go ahead and shoot..If I can't help, someone here should be able to.. Appears to be similar to the 2 strokes on the parts break down list.

Thank you! Ok so a few questions. When the clutch cover is removed, is the secondary or rear clutch supposed to move around other than just spinning? The cover has a bearing that the shaft goes into, but its nearly impossible to get it lined up and into the "cover" bearing

Basically, I can grab the entire secondary clutch assembly and it can move around freely about an inch or so

Yes,it expands and contracts according to throttle. But does have some other parts unlike most rear cv clutches. Secondary clutch parts break down.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Plus here's the full size clutches and how they operate.

I just got it yesterday in trade for some old wheels I had laying around. Runs great, drove ok. I was having to "mess" with the shifter to get it to engage into gear. It would click alittle bit then kinda jerk into gear. Then it would go fi e until higher rpm. Then It seemed to be revving higher in comparison than it was moving. Almost like it was slipping. So I pulled the cover off to inspect the belt. I dont know much about cvts so I didnt want to delve any deeper. Didnt remove the clutches or anything. So I tried to put it back together, and its nearly impossible to replace the cover because the secondary clutch moves around. I cant hold it in plave to line it up with the bearing that is in the cover. It just seems like it should be in a fixed position. So I got it back on seemingly correct. Started it up, put it in gear, and it went in easily but jerks and makes a loud clacking sound when in forward or reverse. If I give it throttle it clacks loudly and stalls. Im lost!!

I cant even start it with the cover off like that because the end of the shaft is not in the bearing on the cover. Im not talking about it expanding and contracting, im saying the entire clutch assembly can move front back side to side. Is there a way I can post a video from mobile to show it better?
