Does anybody know if the lt250r shocks will fit on the lt230s?

i run 85-86 lt250r shocks on my 230 and the difference is night and day. i can't even begin to explain to you what a difference they made. 100% worth the work and cost.

 

What do you have to do to get them to fit?

 

in my case, they bolted right in when the shocks were on the lightest preload setting. but you will gain a little ride height up front (which the 230 could use anyways). unfortunately, that will induce a little positive camber, but i noticed no negative handling effects.

 

If you want to improve shock performance, I would skip the Qracer shocks and just shell out for the Works steelers. Had those on an '87 racer and they were noticeably better than stock. That way you would be getting the proper shock length to boot. If memory serves, the front racer shocks are not rebuildable, 20+ year old shocks are probably pretty worn out.
