Default 230s to 230e

I just got a 88 LT230S and it needed some work. I remember these from back in the day and they are just as much fun now as they were then. I got this thing on the trail and riding good. Then the rod broke and cracked my case. I found a 90 lt230e bottom end on ebay and waswondering if the swap from a 230s to a 230e is easy with minimal modification, or is it not worth it. My 230s has a 255 big bore kit on it according to the previous owner. Everything on my quad is in good condition except for the crack in the case and the rod. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that is what I found out. I found a parts bike for the motor, it is a 85 230s and I am back on the trails. I am going to rebuild my old motor so that I waill have a spare. What would you recommend for a good, reliable top end set up?
