I think I might have just been had. I went to look at a King Quad 300 that had been listed on Craigslist. When I got there the ATV was iced over and the rear brake seemed stuck. The seller hoped on and "gave it some gas" and then we heard a snap. It seems that he broke the right rear axle. He told me that it was a cheap and easy fix. He indicated the part would be under $100, but when I called they quoted me over $300.

I paid $700 for the ATV and a plow. The ATV had less than 1000 miles on it and seemed to run well.

Any help would be appreciated.
