Question 01 Quad King 300 milage

Just picked up a 2001 QK 300. It's my first quad so I'm not very familiar with them. The odometer reads 1564 miles, is this average for a 10 yr old unit?

I'd consider that mileage EXTREMELY low. My bike will have that many miles before it's first birthday.

People here do 1500 miles in one summer. Thats 15 fill ups for me. My 2001 has 3700 miles and I,m considered a low mileage weekend rider.

Default Thanks guys

The unit is overall in really good shape, I think it was mainly used to plow snow( it has a nice winch & plow setup) but there is a problem with the motor, no compression. I'm going to pull the top end off this weekend to see if I can spot the problem. Any suggestions on the best place for parts?

My first choice would be the local Suzuki dealer. Tough to beat quality OEM parts.
