What is the difference between an '06-'07 Suzuki Quadracer LTZ 450 vs. '06- '07 Quadracer LTR 450? I've noticed two different models? Also are they both still considered "race ready" in stock form? i know most people say they still need a few mods to race with.

 

idk maybe what i found was a typo. i thought maybe they were different trim levels

 

There are:: LTZ 400's and LTR 450's.

 

One has the motor from the RM 450 Motocross bike.


The other gets its motor from the DR400 on/off road bike.

So does Suzuki modify the engines i any way? Or do they just drop into the atv? I know the ATV obviously has more weight to pull around

 

All the Japanese manufacturers across the board usually beef up the tranny(adding reverse in the case of the DR 400) and clutch. They may add some extra cooling features as well. With the extra weight and added traction quads dish out more drive line abuse than bikes.
