I was reading on another forum earlier some guys discussing rumors of a 1000cc Raptor in the not so distant future. Anyone heard of this? I would doubt that its true but it would be pretty awesome if it was!

I think they were talking about a stock from the factory 1000. The general consensus seems to be that its not going to happen but most would love it if Yamaha did! Where could I find info on the 1000 conversion kit?

I'd personally like to see more technology than bigger displacement.

It's not a conversion, it's more than a few thousand dollars in upgrades including a stroker crank and billet aftermarket cylinder. Not to mention that no one has claimed to have built one yet.

As for an OEM 1000cc raptor it was a pile of BS at the other forum and it still is here. Just a few overzealous dealers trying to keep you coming back for more info and to spend more money on parts and atvs while you wait for the 1000cc to be released.

there is no kit. some guy with great fab skills got a r1 streetbike engine and just started fabing everything he need. its a ton of work and $.

as far as a 1000cc raptor from the factory i whould never belive it. to meny law suits out there.

We have one but it is not even close to stock since it has an R1 in it, and yes it is very fast and the best part is it's the wifes. She's beating me now until I get my conversion

I have an r1 raptor. Here is a link to a vid of me at the track about 2 months ago. The motor is untuned and I still have to get the gearing right then I can spray it. Enjoy.
