Default Got Her Home

I finally got my new machine home love it . I installed new bar's, risers and ODI grip's plus a warn winch . The rims and tires on it are being sold as I have new IPT rim's and tires coming soon . I pulled off the stock skids and had installed Yamaha's new one piece glide plate . I'm going to try and beat my last years mileage record , I won't start really using this machine till end of March into April when our trails open back up .

Lookin good! Looks like you routed a battery tender thru the storage compartment on the front fender. Did you drill a hole to accommodate that?

Yep I drilled a small hole and ran the wires though a rubber grommet with a bit of silicone , I'm using a CteK charger .

I'm very happy with it , there sure are allot of mod's you can do to these things . I'll add more pictures once my rim's and tires get installed about a month I figure . The place I'm getting them from is closed for another 3 week's somehow they thought the sun of Florida looked better than the white of snow .

So do I my 500 was rock solid it treated me very well . It was time for a change up-grade but I'll be wondering how long my 500 might of lasted . It was A1 when I sold it I bet it run's into the 25,000 mile mark depending on how the new owner treats it . I take care of my stuff I'm hoping this Grizzly end's up being just as reliable . Since owning it they seem well put together very easy to work on like I installed the winch in like 2 hours . My PoPo tho will be missed .

Quick question here, do these newer Grizzlys (or any automatic yamahas for that part) have a parking brake or just the Park feature of the transmission? I seriously have not looked at new quads in a few years. I know that when the 660 came out Summer of 2001, they did not have a lever mounted parking brake like the old manual shifts, but the lever was basically the same. I ordered a parking brake tab for a Big Bear 400 and put on mine, and I have rarely ever used the Park feature of the transmission as long as I've had the thing.
