Lithuania-based Monimoto is doing their best to make a splash on the US scene with their forward-thinking GPS tracking anti-theft technology.

Right now they’re putting all their chips in the Harley-Davidson and e-bike markets but we’re here to state that off-roaders can certainly benefit from this technology as well.

The system works like this: When the device senses movement and the owner (with the fob) is not within range, it provides the exact location tracking directly to the owner’s smartphone, allowing authorities to secure the return of the vehicle. A would-be thief can run, but they can’t hide.

The current device, Monimoto 7, uses the latest worldwide eSIM, 4G/5G IoT technology and upcoming versions will leverage yet to be announced hardware and software improvements to further security and connectivity to owners and authorities.

Service is free for two months with device purchase and is approximately $49 per year after that.

Who among us doesn’t worry about such things when camping with our quads, having a meal in a restaurant with our SxS outside, staying at a hotel with out machine on the back of the truck? Even garage theft is a very real thing. Monimoto is onto something with a tiny tracker that makes sure our beloved vehicle is always under the watchful eye of Earth-orbiting satellites.
