When it comes to Chinese ATVs, there are countless “innovations” that bear no name, no parts reference and defy all sense of logic.
For a short time some minis were coming equipped with setups like yours and the logic was a sort of rudimentary exhaust air induction system. The way this thing was supposed to work was it would gather air and blend it with the exhaust to lean out the emission of unspent hydrocarbons. We’ll be honest – it was more hassle than it was functional. Not to mention what in the world would a mini, non-road legal ATV be doing worrying about passing emissions screenings in the first place?
In any event the actual mounting should look like this but if you lack the correct mounting hardware or frame point, you could simply zip tie the loose end to any frame member and call it a day.
