ATV Industry Facts: Did You Know?

Lots of brands about to merge.

Our ATVs are about to come with a few less names stamped on individual components thanks to a move by Honda.

The Japanese juggernaut recently purchased up remaining stock of Keihin (carburetors), Nissin (brakes) and Showa (suspension).

The new single entity will be known only as Hitachi Automotive Systems.

What does this mean for the rest of us? Not much. Honda machines already came stock with equipment from these brands as they did own shares of stock prior to buying them out completely. We’ll just have less individual branding identity on such components in the future.
