Polaris is a pretty popular ATV manufacturer both in the United States and all over the world. Just how so? To the point where in many countries, particularly those around the Middle East, actually refer to all ATVs as a “Polaris” much in the way Americans call a photocopy a Xerox or a tissue a Kleenex. Once in a while a brand becomes so dominant that it actually takes over as identification for an entire genre of product.

Bonus Fact: Polaris didn’t enter the ATV marked until 1985 with the Trailboss four-wheeler.
