Polaris rings in 2008 with a competition ATV- the Outlaw 525 IRS- it is a great ATV for all around riding conditions, especially on the track.
The high performance KTM 525 four-stroke engine displaces a massive 510cc of power. Midrange torque and roll-on acceleration has been improved for a faster response and is best made for all around riding styles and preferences. Polaris’s 525 IRS has the industries only self-adjusting hydraulic clutch for the easiest and smoothest shifting capabilities. A reverse switch is incorporated into the five speed manual transmission.
Taking on the roughest trails is even better on the Outlaw; with dual A-arm Fox Shocks that give 10 inches of travel. The 525 IRS Outlaw is differentiated with the PRO IRS (Independent Rear Suspension); the first in its class and has 10 inches of travel. Thus making trail riding and racing easier and faster. The overall ground clearance is 11 inches. Front breaking comes from dual piston calipers and duel hydraulic discs. The large hydraulic disc in the rear gives this ATV major stopping and sliding power. Maxxis RAZR-R Radial tires are mounted on a set off high performance spun aluminum wheels for an aggressive look and performance on any terrain. Although the heaviest of the sport models, dry weight is 395, the PRO IRS is worth the extra 20 pounds.
The sporty color for the 2008 525 IRS Outlaw is a Indy Red and White graphics kit.
