The best deal in the 1000-class?

We’re often asked if it’s possible to get into the premiere 1000cc side-by-side class for under 15-large. While it’s certainly possible if you’re willing to go used, CFMOTO reminds us that they do indeed have a brand new offering that achieves this lofty goal.

But Isn’t It Only 950cc?

A funny thing labels. We’ve ridden 260cc machines that called themselves 300s and here we have the opposite phenomenon taking place. The CFMOTO ZFORCE 950 is actually powered by an 83-horsepower, V-Twin, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 8-valve engine coming in at 963cc. In this case it becomes up to the brand whether or not they wish to round up or down. CFMOTO opted to round down, figuring it better to give riders a boost of unexpected performance rather than try and play catch up with the 1000cc class leaders.

Goodies

Speaking of that engine, the 963cc, V-Twin, eight-valve, single overhead camshaft (SOHC), EFI liquid-cooled power-plant has been tuned to deliver even more muscle, with maximum output increased to 85 hp at 7750 rpm and maximum torque increased to 60 lb-ft at 6200 rpm.

Drivers can choose between two power modes, SPORT & NORMAL, delivered via the ride-by-wire throttle for superior connection and control.

50″ width and an all-new redesigned suspension setup promises a smoother ride and better performance. Front and rear compression adjustable gas shocks come standard along with progressive quick-ratio Variable Electronic Power Steering, providing the damping to suspension and steering you want for a dynamic, comfortable ride on long days.
