HOW TO carb adjustment on any Chinese atv. Kazuma, Yamoto, Redcat, Baja, Sunl, etc...

Hi everyone,
I just got a used 50cc ATV with the Honda style motor. It was pretty much in pieces and I now have it all put back together.
For carb adjustments - it is running, but doesn't have much power.
I set the needle on the second notch from the top - which puts the needle further down.
I only have an idle and air screw - the air screw is almost all the way in - maybe a quarter turn out.
Should I adjust the needle to allow for more fuel and then more air? I am in a warm climate - so cold starting shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks....

I would start with the air screw at 1.5 turns out. .5 turns out is sort of like having the choke on.. air screw is good for air control from idle to approx 1/4 throttle.
The needle allows fuel to pass thru the main jet. lowering the clip(raising the needle) allows more fuel into the mix.

Hi mywifesquad,
Thanks for the response on this and my previous question on what type of ATV.
So, it idles fine but it doesn't have any good thrust when I give it gas. I can pretty much put the air screw almost all the way in without it dying.
Am I not getting enough fuel? I started at 2 turns out on the air, but it didn't idle very well. I noticed that if I provided less air it would idle better by covering up the air filter. Now I have the air screw probably 1/2 turn out.
I don't think the air screw is where my problem is - I was wondering if it was my needle setting. I have the needle set on the second notch down from the top which would lower the needle and restrict the fuel.
Thanks,

Your welcome...I just realized this is a 4 stroke (reading too fast again)..its a fuel screw on a 4 stroke not a air screw..Did you clean the carb at all before putting the quad back together?
