Default Shineray 250 carbie help please.

Trying to re-jet our two quads and seem to be having a few problems in finding jets.

If anyone has some info on were to buy larger jets for Dekni PZ 30 carbie's please let me know.

I have found out already that Keihin N424-21 Pilot/Slow jet is the same as in my carbie. But the main jet has got me stuffed.

I cant seem to find anything about it. Unless im not looking in the right place?

Slow jet is a 38 while the main is a 105.

Any help would be great!

Cheers,
QIK.

Ok, my bad... I got frustrated and got the main jets drilled out.

Both engines are the same in our quads. Just diffrent frames.

My carbie has 38 slow and a 105 main.
Wifes carbie 40 slow and a 98 main.

Got them drilled out to 115 mains for both. Will see how they run. I also fitted magnum coils to the both bikes and changed the plugs to honda ones. They seem to run smoother already. I have also fitted a new cdi to the wifes. Mine is in the mail...lol

I drill out jets too....

I went with a 124 main jet on my 250 and a 117 on my 200...Slow jet is a 49 for both machines...the bigger slow jet got rid of the cough and die syndrome both of them had stock..

Lean jetting is part of buying anything that qualifies for CARB and or EPA standards...

Curious, how do you know what size drill bit makes a XX size jet?
Drill bits in thousandths?

Real easy math....the size of the jet(the thru hole) is in mm's(millimeters) For example a 125 main jet is 1.25 X .0393 (1 mm)= a .0492 hole

For a 45 pilot jet its .45 X .03937= a .0177 hole

A number set, #1-60 goes down to .040 Dia...A #61 thru #80 set has the .0135 thru .039 size drills...

Comes in handy at times for sure...

just noticed the second example is correct 1mm = .03937
