Well, looks like it was my battery after all. I had it on a small charger and completely charged the battery. Took it off for a day and the battery reads 10.5 volts. I got it off Ebay for $30 so no major loss. That was in addition to the electrolyte I had to purchase locally for $12. Autozone wants $65 to $75 for their batteries, that's way too much. Where did you guys get your battery from?

Walmart - the store we all love to hate, but shop there anyway.

Same here. Autozone here wanted $55.00. It was exactly the same battery as the one at walmart for $27.00. The carboard carton was different on the outside, but when looking at the contents inside it obviously came from the same factory. Both said made in china.

Are autozone employees paid more? Do they get a living wage? Do the autozone workers have more benefits than walmart employees? I don't know the answer to this...

why, oh why, is it a DoItYourself style battery now? i remember when you could buy the battery and off you go! i guess by getting the consumer to do half the work it raised their profit margin? i still ain't figured this one out. if someone knows, please enlighten me! i still hate walmart.

Autozone probably takes it out of the carton, puts in the fluid, and throws a charge on it?

Or.....they just get what they can get cause people will payit!

Lynn, I discovered that my battery is good, when I checked the voltage I didn't firmly press my volt meter lead down and there was some corrosion on the battery. After fully charging the battery back up, I put the volt meter in line and noticed .08 amp current discharge with key off. I started unplugging everything and the very last thing I did was the relay for the turn signals. Current drain stopped. I plugged it back it and there was no drain, must have been stuck or something. I took it out, no need for turn signals on the kiddie atv anyway. Thanks a million, I owe you x 2 now.
