Bought Roketa for my son 2 yrs ago. He has rode it 4 hrs. TOPS. Replaced the battery last year, and he rode it once. Put it up intending to sell. Got it out this year. WON'T start. Replaced the battery again! Won't start. Have taken it apart, and checked all plugs, carperator fuel lines, est. Won't start. Have had several guys look at it, they feel there is some kind of "glitch" in the alarm system. Any simalar problems or sugestions????:confused:

Have you taken the carb apart and cleaned it? Does it have spark? Is the spark plug the Chinese one?

 

I think maybe you are being a wee bit unreasonable in your expectations. If you only drove your car for 4 hours two years ago (plus once last year) then let it sit for another year, would you expect it to start today? I wouldn't. Batteries go dead even when they are not being used. You need to keep them charged up or they will be ruined very quickly - especially in freezing weather. There are cheap maintenance chargers out there that you could use to keep your battery topped off.

I agree with MWQ's suggestions. Carburetors varnish up over time if the quad sits with gas in it. There are procedures to drain the carburetor if you are going to mothball your quad for an extended period.

Do you know how to check for spark?

As far as the "glitch" in the alarm system - unplug it. Then the alarm system is out of the picture. It does change the procedure for turning off the quad once (if) you get it started: The ignition switch will no longer turn off the engine - you have to use the handlebar kill switch. Other than that the ignition system works the same.
