Default Need help with Quazi kids quad

I just bought a used Quazi kids quad for my daughter. She rode it 2x in the field on the 3rd time the metal case that encloses the left side of the rear axle cracked and broke apart. There is a slight oil drip coming out of this case (it looks like oil anyway)..

I know absolutely nothing about how to fix any type of vehicle but want to know if this is even repairable or if I wasted a bunch of money for something that will never work again...

I don't know what the part is called, but it looks like some type of metal casing that has a rod coming out of it towards the front of the bike (perhaps something to do with shifting?) and that rod goes into the casing, and the casing surrounds the rear axle.

Any suggestions or even knowing what this thing is called would be very helpful!!
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum tracyr!

Could you post a pic of the quad and the rear end that the fluid is leaking out of...It sounds like its the drive shaft housing...

Default drive shaft

I don't have a picture of mine, but this is on another website and is what is broken, the axle is fine, it is just the casing around it..
SHAFT DRIVE ATV REAR END ASSEMBLY 110CC, 125CC, 150CC, 200CC - J2548123

How difficult is this to replace? Do I have to replace the entire axle? Perhaps I should just buy another and keep this one for parts... This is just very frustrating...

Thanks for all your assistance!

Its not likely your going to find just the case anywhere.....Im sure if you did you could take yours apart and swap them....but with the parts supply like it is....my money is on you buy the whole axle assy or nothing.
