Default Jetmoto 250 Sport pushrod worn

I found the source of the ticking in my 2008 250 Sport. The end of the pushrod is worn down. It is the end under the rocker arm. Anyone know where I can find a replacement? I can't find anything on Raceway's website, and I've left a message at kidatv.com. Neither of these sites show these parts. Jetmoto's site doesn't either.

I know of a source in up here in Canada but you could try these guys
Valve Pole for CG 125cc-250cc ATV, Dirt Bike & Go Kart [K070-114] - $19.95 : , Chinesemotoparts.com

They come a set though. Probably used ones around too.

Good to hear from you 00XJ

What kind of oil did you use and how often did you change it?

Yeah, I'm still around. Work has been BUSY for the last year or so. I only had my Polaris out twice last year because of it. Bummer....

The 250 Sport has had nothing but 15w50 Mobil 1 in it. I've changed it maybe 5 times since we bought it. I have had to adjust the exhaust valve several times before this happened. I've always set it at .005-.006. Never had any problems with the intake valve clearance. I simply ran out of adjustment and still had MAJOR clearance, so I knew something was wrong. It always ran fine, just suddenly had this loud tick. I'm thinking the pushrod wasn't hardened correctly on the end or something.

Kinda off subject but, The Jetmoto has set for about a 1 1/2 years ( my son got his drivers license ) so he's been driving a car. We got it out Sunday, put a little gas in it and it fired right up. Didn't even have to charge the battery! Heck I've had to replace the battery in my '07 Polaris already!!! Other than a couple of small problems before this pushrod problem, the Jetmoto has been like a tank. You can't kill it!

I think your're probably right it was a just a bad push rod. I've seen it happen over the years in other applications but with more hrs.
