I removed the stator cover, and i'm trying to remove the "magnetic pulley" and sprocket(sproket drives a small chain which goes around the starter sproket) as well- i finally got the nut removed from the magnetic pulley- by the way not sure what this piece is called exactly- do i need a gear puller to succesfully remove this piece? If so, what the heck is going to be involved with getting the sproket removed so i can get the cover off which is located behind it?
Please help!

 

Follow up- i removed the "magnetic pulley" with a gear puller this morning- after that, the sproket just slides right off.

 

the sprocket that drives that little chain is ur timeing chain try not to mess with it to much cause u can easly knock it out of time.
What was the problem ur haveing with ur atv?
