Default xtreme 50

HI
My name is Eric and i just joined this forum. I recently was given a xtreme 50cc fourwheeler. the four wheeler has been passed around a few times so i really dont know a whole lot about it. i was going to try starting it but it would not crank so i put it on the charger and it still would not crank. there are four wires that are not connected to any thing and another two wires that had been pulled out of the plastic connector im not sure which way they are supposed to be connected. two of the wires i assume are for the headlight and the other two maybe for a switch because there is no switch to be found. the motor will not crank at all unless i jump the selenoid and then i have to spark. i will try to get pics posted tomorrow afternoon. if there is anybody that could help me get this thing running it would be much appreciated. also there is a remote box on the back and i have no remote for it.

Pictures will help a lot.

The remote can be unplugged if you suspect it is causing problems. Remotes draw battery power all the time even when the quad is off - some draw more than others - so I would unplug it if you are not going to use it.

I'm going to be out of touch until Sunday. I'll look back in and comment then after seeing the pictures...

i havent had much time to work on it here lately. i do have power going to the starter button and power going to the selenoid when i push the button but it will not crank over. when i jump the selenoid it will turn over but it has no spark. i disconnected the remote box and that did not help anything. i have a couple pics that i am gonna post showing the four wires that im not so sure about. al so what is the easiest way to post pics on here

I tend to post the same pictures over and over so I use photobucket.com which has a free picture storage and access site (there are many others as well). This way I copy the same link into many posts.

You can also upload your pictures to this site and then put them in your post. I've done it before, but not often enough to be sure of the procedure from just my memory. Try uploading your pictures and posting them. If it doesn't work no big deal. We can analyze and then try something different.
