Frizman, i agree with you and Mr. Firemouth and LynnEdwards, the everyday joe knows very little about this kind of stuff. i agree that it's used as a lure to sell us "high performance" items when it may/may not be compatible. one of the things about electrical items, you usually cannot return them for a refund. bummer, i know, right! I thank the Good Lord for this website and the assets that teach us everyday about ATVs and the ins/outs of the business. thanks to all.

Well, I don't have a dyno but I do have a GPS unit.
With the factory parts the bike did 21mph wide open and after the 30mm carb, new coil wire, and Casoli CDI it now runs 33mph wide open.
The bike is faster on top end, not really any stronger on the bottom end.
It is a Kazuma 150.
I would say it was worth it. Now if I can only find an air cleaner to fit the 30mm carb!

Standard carb was junk, never ran.
rpm with new carb ran @ 4800
rpm with new carb and new CDI runs @ 6600
Replacing a CDI alone won't give big gains, but will help.
Replacing CDI, Coil wire, opening spark plug gap slightly, and getting a bigger carb will help noticeably. A good pipe will help too.
One thing is for sure on this 150 Kazuma. It was fairly quick for a 150 when I got it and after the mods it runs more like a new 150 should. Remember this bike is a 2003 model. The motor and trans has probably seen better days. LOL
