Brand new 110cc kids quad
#1
We recently received our kids 110cc quad from Tao Tao on Tuesday August 17th. I was unaware that any assembly was required, but I figured I could handle it. The "manuel" is very user unfriendly. I put the quad together, put the water in the battery, and tried to charge it. after 24 hours on the charger that was included in the crate, there was still not enough charge to make the lights work. Also, I have noticed several wires not plugged in that are not shown or discussed in the manuel so I am not sure what to do with them. There are a green with yellow stripe and black wire coming out of the parking brake control? on the right side of bars, and a few that have plug in style connectors under the top bar of the frame that aren't plugged in but have no mates color wise to plug into. I am becoming frustrated with this and I am wondering if anyone else has seen this and knows the "fix" for the problem. Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,
You also posted a similar version of this in the Chinese quad section. Please see my answer there as well
.
You put water in the battery? Most quads come with batteries shipped dry (empty) with the required sulfuric acid solution is shipped separate in a plastic jug. You are supposed to add the acid solution to all six cells up to the line on the case, and then charge it some more (although just adding acid will give a substantial charge off the bat - enough to crank and start the quad).
Once you have added the acid solution initially, then from that point on you add just water to keep the battery up to the line. This is because just the water from the acid solution is what evaporates out - so adding just water keeps everything correct.
