Pretty much the same as posted above except this one is not a GY6 style engine
Sjl = manufacture
1 = number of cylinders
p = This shows up sometimes. Not sure what it means yet
47 = bore diameter
f = engine type. Q is a GY6 this one is not.
mf = 90cc

Just figured out what the "P" stands for. It is a improved cylinder head. From what I have read usually includes larger head height for improved air flow. Larger valves and a more aggressive cam profile. Basically, a OEM installed performance motor/head.

We'll take a look at the most common engine code: 157QMJ.
The first thing to note is that the actual code always starts with the first number, and continues for a total of 6 digits. Anything extra is a manufacturer-specific information that won't be covered here at this time.

Lets disect the code starting with the first digit:
(Digit #1) Corrasponds to the number of cylinders. All GY6 engines are single cylinder, so this number will always be 1.

(Digit #2 and #3) This is the bore size in metric millimeters, in the case of the 157QMJ, our bore is 57mm. Note that 57.4mm bore engines fall under the "57" designation.

(Digit #4) relates to the style of engine. All GY6 engines are designated "Q".

(Digit #5 and #6) The actual size of the engine. The second letter ascends consecutively for each 10cc. MB = 50cc, MC = 60cc, MD for a 70, MH = 110cc, MI = 125cc, MJ = 150cc

That is pretty much it for the standard codes stamped on most GY6 and other Chinese engines. We will add more information about manufacturer-specific codes as we find it out.
Mine says QMJ but directly to the right of that is stamped 124cm so does that mean I have a 150 or a 125 ?

Question

Ok, So my engine must not be the GY6 engine design, but since it isn't, then what design is it? My engine code is YG152FMH
YG-Manufacturer
1-single cylinder
52- Bore in MM
F- Engine design
MH-110cc.

Since my engine is a different design, then does this decoder still apply when figuring out what my displacement is? My quad is an ATV-109. I've been searching and searching the net trying to figure out exactly what engine I have.

When I search my code, i get 3 posts. None of which really help me out much. Is there anywhere we can get the manufacturer's codes? I added a P in my code, and it brought up YinGang's company website...I know nothing of the structure of these Chinese engines, is this the company the parent company of SunL or another company? My cousin had a dirtbike with a SunL 110 on it, it's now 8 years old and the current owner rides the shoot out of it.
