unknown atv

I picked this up a few weeks ago to replace my son's mpx-50. It needs a little work but, considering I only paid $75 for it I don't mind. The problem is I not sure exactly what kind it is or what parts or going to cross over. I'm thinking it just closely resembles the Ducar 110cc but, no 100% sure. Any advise would be great. It starts and runs but, has a drive train issue that I need to look into. I'm going to replace the plastics and put a new front bumper on it. Anyway, here's some pics. The name plate on the engine says "VP Motors" but, I haven't been able to find anything about that. I did get the receipt from the owner and it says it's a 05'. However, the receipt just says it's an atv. I emailed the company on the receipt, Midwest Scooters, but didn't get a reply.

I found two websites for Venus Pacific Motor Technology Limited. Both sites show the content could be harmful to your computer, so I didn't check them out nor will I list them here. This is a copy and paste of the site description.
Motor Scooters VP 506 $0.00, Motor Scooters VP 507 $0.00, 50cc STEALTH $0.00. VPM-ATV-VG05-200cc AT-WATER(TBA) $0.00, 50cc VENUS Ⅱ $0.00, Motor Scooters VP ...
You may be able to find out more from that, or if you want to check out the site, Google vp motors atv.

I've actually seen those sites but, I'm not willing to take the risk. With all the other Chinese online parts place I'm sure there's one out there that has what I'm looking for and won't kill my computer.

It's shaft drive. I've been closely comparing the parts and it looks like the Yamoto and Ducar shaft drive stuff will work with it. I'm going to start tearing it down as soon as I finish this car project I've been working on.

That's pretty cool! I didn't know they had that on a kids 110cc.

I ended up doing the tear down a couple weeks ago. I've been threw the gear box and rear end. Both have all their teeth and didn't show any unusual signs of wear. What I think happen is that the bolt holding the swing arm on backed itself out and either put the drive shaft in such a bind that it couldn't move or let the drive shaft coupler side off the end so that it wasn't attached to the pinion at all. Either way it looks like an easy fix. Should be going back together with it soon.
